# Daily Inspection for Illness

(a) The licensee shall be responsible for ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness including, but not limited to, fever or vomiting, are not accepted.&#x20;

&#x20;  (1) Additional attention shall be paid to children who:&#x20;

&#x20;     (A) Have been absent because of illness.&#x20;

&#x20;     (B) Have been exposed to a contagious disease.&#x20;

(b) The licensee shall develop and implement a written inspection procedure that shall include the following:&#x20;

&#x20;  (1) No child shall be accepted without contact between center staff and the person bringing the child to the center.&#x20;

&#x20;  (2) The licensee shall require that the person bringing the child to the center remain until the child is accepted.&#x20;

&#x20;     (A) After the child has been determined to be without obvious signs of illness and has been accepted, the center shall require that the person sign the child in.
